Sunday, June 30

4:11 p.m. A deputy took a report for his request for a warrant for a man on suspicion of multiple witness reports that state the man fired shotgun rounds into the air in an intimidating threatening manner on his property after a physical altercation involving the man’s minor stepson, who has an active protection order that states the man shall not possess firearms or assault, threaten or harass the minor reporting party in the 25800 block of U.S. Highway 491, Pleasant View.

Monday, July 8

2:16 p.m. A deputy cited a man with careless driving and a penalty assessment. The deputy cited his son for third-degree criminal trespassing. After investigating an easement issue between neighbors in the 41700 block of Colorado Highway 184.

Saturday, July 13

7:16 p.m. A deputy cited a man with unsafe backing after he stated he was to trying to avoid a truck on the other side of him and backed his trailer into a different truck in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Sunday, July 14

12:53 p.m. A deputy took a report for a vehicle break-in in the 11700 block of Road 27.3, Dolores.

7:57 p.m. A deputy took a report for an incident involving a man ramming his Jeep into a woman’s truck after being confronted for attempting to remove a metal bathtub and a table from her property in 23100 block of Road G, Cortez. The woman stated in the deputy’s report that the force from the man ramming into her truck was enough to “knock the hair tie out of my hair” and she stated to the deputy that the man got out of his Jeep and ran westbound. The man who was in the truck with her at the time of the incident stated he dropped his phone during the call to 911 while the truck was struck by the man in the Jeep. The deputy stated he was requesting a warrant for the man who ran off through a field and was able to evade other deputies responding to the scene.

Wednesday, July 17

10:06 a.m. A deputy a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. The deputy transported the man to be placed into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:25 p.m. A man with multiple warrants turned himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:21 p.m. A deputy served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, July 18

5:29 p.m. A deputy served warrants to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, July 20

7 p.m. A deputy cited a man with driving on a revoked license in the 9000 block of Road 29.

Sunday, July 21

12:37 a.m. A deputy took a report for a law enforcement agency assist in locating a man with a warrant in the 26700 block of Road L. A Cortez Police officer located and the man, who was kneeling and hiding behind a wood shed.

Monday, July 22

7:24 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after a report of a possible assault was made in the 25000 block of Road G.
