Sunday, April 21

1 p.m. A deputy responded to a harassment call in the 400 block of Central Avenue. He was told by a woman that she was receiving unwanted calls, text messages and voice mails from her ex-husband. The deputy located the ex-husband and asked him to cease contacting his ex-wife. The deputy informed him that if he continued to contact his ex-wife, it would be considered harassment or stalking. No charges were filed.

Tuesday, April 23

8:18 a.m. A man driving a BMW hit a Dodge pickup at the Maverick gas station, 10223 U.S. Highway 491.

Wednesday, April 24

12:50 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant to an inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:10 p.m. A woman was served with an active warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:54 p.m. A male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center was served an active warrant for failure to appear in court.

3:54 p.m. A woman was served an active warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. The woman was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:32 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at a business in the 24000 Road of G.2. The woman was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, April 26

12:55 p.m. A male inmate was served an active warrant for failure to appear in court at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:44 p.m. A male inmate was served an arrest warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, April 27

3:03 p.m. A man asked the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office for help obtaining the vaccination records of a large white and black dog that bit him while he was riding his bicycle in the 14000 block of County Road 29. The bicyclist was satisfied to know the dog was current with its vaccinations and did not wish to press charges.

Monday, April 29

8:37 a.m. A male inmate was served an active arrest warrant for failure to comply at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:17 a.m. A man at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds, 30100 U.S. Highway 160, reported a dump truck had been stolen after its keys were left in the ashtray. Security camera footage was being reviewed for clues.

2:06 p.m. A woman was informed via a telephone call that she had written a bad check to Montezuma County while at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 N. Park St. The woman said she would pay the amount due, and no further action was taken.
