3:09 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant after responding to a call about suspicious people behind the Speedway, 2021 E. Main St.
7:42 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear after responding to a call about a disturbance at the Speedway, 2021 E. Main St.
2:51 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at the KSJD Radio Station, 2 E. Main St. According to the police report, the man called his sister to tell her he was playing music on the radio station, and when officers arrived, the man walked out and told them the door was left unlocked and he was in the theater playing music on the radio.
1:07 p.m. A man was arrested on a felony warrant at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.
5:52 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, domestic violence and trespassing at Sikis Village, 321 S. Broadway, after a report of a possible break-in.
10:46 a.m. An officer took a report from a woman for a protection order violation at the Brubaker Place Apartments, 691 Wyoming St. The officer’s report states he would be requesting a warrant for the arrest of a man who violated a no-contact no-exceptions protection order for a derogatory and sexually insinuating Facebook post he made that mentions the protected woman.
1:54 p.m. An officer cited a woman with theft of between $1,000 and $2,000 for claiming ownership of a wallet containing money orders in the amount of $1,265 that a man turned into staff at Mountain Annie’s Dispensary, 310 E. Main St.
8:24 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.
10:34 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of trespassing at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St.
6:50 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road.
9:22 a.m. A woman was cited with trespassing at Walmart and served with a no-trespass notice for Maverick, 455 State St.
12:44 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant in the 100 block of W. Main Street.
3:01 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and cited with possession of alcohol in the park and possession of an open container at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.
4:16 p.m. An officer at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., took a report for theft from a woman who gave her phone, without resetting it to factory settings, to a friend who gave it to his son, who allegedly accessed the woman’s banking information and transferred money with Cash App to a woman who stated she sent it to another woman, who was able to withdraw the money.
6:11 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol at 320 South Pine St.
2:17 p.m. A man was served two warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
2:29 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at the Handy Mart, 806 South Broadway.
7:36 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St.
11:55 p.m. An officer arrested a woman with four warrants and cited her for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The officer also served a trespass notice to a man she was with.
3:45 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after he was issued a trespass notice and removed from the property earlier in the night at 620 E. Empire St.
2:27 p.m. An officer took a report for theft of between $300 and $1,000 at Big O Tire, 1856 E. Main St.
3:08 p.m. An officer took a report that states he will seek a warrant for the arrest of a man on suspicion of felony eluding, protection order violation, driving with a revoked license, speeding more than 40 mph over the posted limit after driving past the man in a vehicle with a woman that is the protected party in a restraining order that states no contact except in non-harassing contact in a public setting in the Cortez Plaza, 2200 E. Main St. The report states the man dropped the woman off at Walmart and fled. After attempting to stop the man in an unsafe high-speed pursuit of more than 80 mph through city streets and county roads, he was advised by superiors to terminate the pursuit.
9:53 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant and suspicion of felony DUI, driving a vehicle with a revoked license and second-degree assault. The officers report states the man was asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle that was parked near the Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St. but partially on the roadway of East Seventh St.
12:01 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.
1:02 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
1:35 p.m. An officer served a woman a trespass notice after citing her with shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.
3:15 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 806 S. Oak St.
