Tuesday, Feb. 18

10:23 a.m. An officer was dispatched to the Speedway at 921 E. Main St. about a shoplifting report. The suspect attempted to hide from police, but was arrested on an active warrant and issued a summons for obstructing a peace officer. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

9:33 a.m. An officer was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to issue an active warrant to a man. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

10:03 a.m. An officer was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to issue an active warrant to a man. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

12:19 p.m. An officer was dispatched to City Market, 508 Main St., on a shoplifting report. A man was issued a summons for suspicion of shoplifting a 2½-pound pack of ribs, a 2-pound bag of shrimp, a six-pack of Dry Dock beer, an aerosol can of Cheez Whiz, and a Stra-ber-rita alcoholic drink.

4:37 p.m. An officer was dispatched to City Market, 508 Main St., about a man harassing customers. The man was issued a summons for trespassing and told to leave the property.

5:51 p.m. An officer was dispatched to the Tomahawk Motel, 728 S. Broadway, for a report of a hit-and-run incident. A man on bicycle reported being hit by a Cadillac. The man had an active warrant. He was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:18 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Parque de Vida for a reported fight. Two men reported to be in a fight both told the officer they were just hugging. One of the men had an active warrant. A search of the man discovered a bottle of vodka an a plastic bag containing a substance believed to be mehtamphetamine. The man was arrested on a felony hold and suspicion of possessing an illegal substance. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:57 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 785 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a female inmate.

Thursday, Feb. 20

2:20 a.m. An officer was dispatched to the Turquoise Inn Best Western motel, 535 E. Main Street, about a report of a fight. A man who was uncooperative with officers had an active warrant. He was arrested and medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital. He was issued a breath analysis that showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.232. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:12 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., to issue an active warrant to a man. He was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:41 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Wendy’s, 221 E. Main St., on a welfare check of man who had been involved in a fight. The man had an active warrant. He was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:20 p.m. An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of South Madison Street about a man who was uncooperative with emergency medical technicians. The man appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested for violating bond conditions banning the consumption of alcohol. The man was arrested and medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital. He was issued a breath analysis that showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.400. The man was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

7:24 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St., about a reported assault. The officer began the process to request an arrest warrant for the man involved for third-degree assault, domestic violence, burglary and theft.

8:45 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., about an intoxicated man causing a disturbance. The man had broken a case of Heineken and was drinking a Dos Equis in the store. He was yelling at people in the paper towels section. The man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief, destroying property in the store, disorderly conduct. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Feb. 21

6:38 a.m. An officer was dispatched to the 2400 block of East Main St. to take a report about a vehicle-deer accident.

9:59 a.m. An officer was patrolling in the initial block of Harrison Street when he observed a vehicle make an unsafe turn out of City Market. The female driver had an active warrant for her arrest out of Farmington, New Mexico. She was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

1:52 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., about a reported shoplifting. The women were suspected of trying to steal toys, dog bones, thong panties, an ashtray and jewelery, which they could not provide proof of purchase. The woman said they were providing the items to another woman who needed help. Both women were issued summons for shoplifting and the items were returned to the store.

3:26 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., about a reported shoplifting. A man was issued a summons after failing to provide proof of purchase of several items of clothing and an Anker Power Cord. The man was also issued a trespass notice banning him from the Walmart property.

9:33 p.m. An officer was dispatched to assist another officer with a traffic stop at Elm Street and Fifth Street. A man who was required to have an Interlock device on his vehicle did not have the device in place. He was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
