Wednesday, May 2

7:06 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1200 block of Cochita Drive on suspicion of DUI, failing to signal as required and weaving after a woman reported he had been drinking before he left home on his motorcycle. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

Thursday, May 3

12 a.m.: A woman was arrested at Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway, on suspicion of violating bond conditions after reportedly causing a disturbance by screaming in a motel room. She was medically cleared due to intoxication.

4:28 p.m.: A man was arrested outside City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

9:49 p.m.: A woman was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating bond conditions after police contacted her for reportedly rolling around on the ground nearby. She was medically cleared due to intoxication.

Friday, May 4

3:37 p.m.: Five people were arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., after police responded to a report of a fight. A man told police he had been sleeping in the park when someone had started kicking him in the head, starting a fight between the five suspects. All five were medically cleared due to intoxication, and the first man was also treated for a cut on his head. One of the men had an open bottle of vodka in his hoodie pocket. He was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park. Another man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace and violating bond conditions. The other three suspects, two men and one woman, were arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

7:58 p.m.: A woman was cited on suspicion of harassment in the 1300 block of Acoma Street after her neighbor reported she had been yelling profanities at her when she walked or drove by her house for months. When confronted by police, the suspect said she wanted to charge her neighbor with harassment because she was being contacted by police so often. Her request was denied.

Saturday, May 5

12:44 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 400 block of West Seventh Street on two Greeley warrants for failure to appear and on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after a man reported she had come into his house uninvited and passed out on his couch. Two small bags of meth, a bag of marijuana, a meth pipe and a marijuana pipe were found in her purse.

1:37 a.m.: A man was arrested outside Angel’s End Zone, 309 N. Broadway, on suspicion of DUI, speeding, driving without a license and resisting arrest. He was reportedly speeding northbound on Broadway when a patrol car traveling the opposite direction prepared to turn around and pull him over. His vehicle reportedly started driving toward the front end of the patrol car, causing the officer to change lanes to avoid being hit. Then the car pulled into the bar parking lot, where the officer contacted the driver. After failing roadside maneuvers, he reportedly resisted being handcuffed and continued to resist throughout his transportation to the jail. He was medically cleared due to intoxication and swollen wrists.

3:24 a.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of third-degree assault at Angel’s End Zone, 309 N. Broadway, after witnesses reported he had punched two people in the face.

11:18 a.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of disturbing the peace at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., after employees reported he had challenged a cashier to a fight.

1:57 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 10 block of North Beech Street on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident after a hit-and-run was reported at Liquid Assets on East Main Street. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

3:31 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating municipal bond conditions. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

Sunday, May 6

12:39 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of a protection order violation in the 200 block of North Beech Street after police contacted him for lying in the roadway. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

1:18 a.m.: A man was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating municipal bond conditions after police found him lying unconscious in a puddle of water outside the building with an empty and half-full bottle of mouthwash nearby. He was medically cleared due to severe intoxication.

11:53 a.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of driving while impaired, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and an open container violation in the 10 block of South Beech Street.

12:34 p.m.: Police responded to a fire alarm at the Cortez Service Center, 110 Progress Circle, and found that a window had been broken. A man walking around inside the building reportedly said he had broken the window because he wanted to go to jail. He appeared to have a mental disability, so officers asked paramedics to transport him to Southwest Memorial Hospital and did not file charges.

5:11 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 800 block of North Edith Street on suspicion of violating a protection order after a homeowner reported he was at her residence in violation of the order. He reportedly refused to get inside a patrol car until an officer threatened to use his stun gun on him. He was medically cleared after showing symptoms of being under the influence of an unknown drug.

10:03 p.m.: A man turned himself in at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a Montezuma County warrant and a Montrose County felony warrant.

Monday, May 7

8:34 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 800 block of South Broadway on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and on two warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply. Two syringes loaded with meth were found in his pocket.

3:42 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 300 block of South Broadway on a Montezuma County warrant and a municipal warrant for failure to appear after police contacted him for walking in and out of traffic. He was medically cleared due to severe intoxication.

4:38 p.m.: A man was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., on two municipal warrants for failure to appear after employees reported he had put on several pairs of pants from the store without paying for them.

Tuesday, May 8

3:14 a.m.: An employee was cited on suspicion of theft at Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St., after a manager said he suspected him of stealing a total of $280 from the cash register over the past week. When contacted by police, the man reportedly said the manager was the one who stole the cash. Surveillance video showed the employee taking a $100 bill the previous night, but police were unable to find evidence he had stolen anything else from the store.
