11:16 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

1:08 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

1:21 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., after store employees reported he had tried to leave with a shopping cart full of items for which he had not paid. The man told police he had received a call from someone asking for a confirmation number on a social security letter, and he was going out to his car to get the letter.

3:35 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on three warrants from Montezuma County, the Grand Junction Police Department and Delta County.

3:57 p.m.: A man was arrested in the Silver Bean parking lot, 408 W. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear after he was pulled over for disregarding a stop sign.

5:12 p.m.: A man was arrested in Centennial Park, 802 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear after police reportedly saw him steal two packs of cigarettes from someone sleeping in the park.

9:02 p.m.; A man was cited on suspicion of disturbing the peace at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after a store employee reported he had yelled profanities and threats at him in the parking lot.

Thursday, June 7

2:40 p.m.: A man was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear.

5:51 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on suspicion of domestic violence and criminal mischief after the mother of his children reported he had threatened her and broken a window in her house when she refused to let him inside. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to intoxication and a large cut on his elbow.

6:39 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment after a woman reported he had bitten her tongue while kissing her earlier in the day, causing severe bleeding, and had tried to follow her into the house of a friend who was helping her clean up. The man was medically cleared due to severe intoxication.

Friday, June 8

12:54 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear after police responded to a report that he was acting suspicious and staring at girls in the pool.

2:24 p.m.: A man was cited in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., on suspicion of an open container violation, possession of alcohol in the park and possession of marijuana on city property after police responded to a report of a disturbance between him and some other people. An open bottle of vodka, a package of marijuana and a pipe with burnt marijuana residue were found in his possession.

2:48 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license, weaving and failing to drive in a single lane after police responded to a report that he was driving away intoxicated from the scene of a disturbance at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. He reportedly eluded patrol cars for a few blocks before stopping his car on North Washington Street so that it faced oncoming traffic. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

5:09 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 1000 block of East Main Street on suspicion of driving under restraint after she was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop light.

5:22 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after police contacted him and two other men for drinking in the park. A case with several small bags of meth, a straw, several burnt pieces of foil and a marijuana pipe were found in his possession.

10:05 p.m.: Two men were cited on suspicion of trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Saturday, June 9

12:57 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 2200 block of East Main Street on suspicion of DUI and careless driving after police responded to a report that he had driven away intoxicated from the Montezuma County Fairgrounds and had almost hit a patrol car. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

4:26 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 10 block of South Beech Street on suspicion of DUI after she was pulled over for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. She reportedly told police she had been drinking at Blondie’s Trophy Room. She was medically cleared due to intoxication.

11:41 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of West Second Street on a municipal warrant for failure to appear.

Sunday, June 10

10:39 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of South Chestnut Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

8:30 p.m.: A woman was arrested outside the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., on a Farmington Police Department felony warrant.

Monday, June 11

12:13 a.m.: A man was arrested at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, on suspicion of disturbing the peace and violating bond conditions after he reportedly threatened and tried to hit medical staff who were treating him for an injury.

10:57 a.m.: A woman was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after employees reported she had tried to steal four packs of pistachios and two cans of cat food, valued at $20.95 total, by hiding them in a backpack.

1:25 p.m.: Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 800 block of South Broadway. A man reported his ex-girlfriend had broken several windows in his house, causing $400 in damage. Police did not immediately find the woman, but requested a warrant for her arrest on suspicion of domestic violence and criminal mischief.

9:55 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 100 block of East Main Street on suspicion of DUI, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and driving an uninsured vehicle after he was pulled over for driving the wrong way on South Beech Street.

Tuesday, June 12

11 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on two felony warrants.

1:41 p.m.: A woman turned herself in at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., and was arrested on a San Miguel County warrant for failure to comply. She reportedly said she was no longer a county resident, and had taken five buses from Michigan to turn herself in.

3:24 p.m.: Police responded to a report of vandalism in the parking lot of City Market, 508 E. Main St. A man reported the back window of his camper had been shattered. Investigating officers found some evidence the damage could have been caused by the wind rather than a person.

4:10 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at Cork ‘N’ Bottle, 443 E. Main St., after employees reported he had tried to steal three single-shot bottles, valued at $2.97 total, by hiding them in his pockets.

5:29 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating bail bond conditions after police contacted him for drinking in the park. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

8:12 p.m.: A man turned himself in at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

10:04 p.m.: A man was arrested in Montezuma Park, 15 W. Montezuma Ave., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.
