Friday, Nov. 9

2:02 p.m.: A man was arrested for trespassing at Liquid Assets, as 718 E. Main St. He also had two outstanding municipal warrants.

3:32 p.m.: A driver fled the scene of a collision at the intersection of W. Empire St. and N. Broadway. A vehicle with a van trailer approached the intersection as an unknown vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with the other vehicle. The unknown vehicle lost parts of its front bumper and fled the scene.

7:22 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated woman passed out in the parking lot of City Market, at 508 E. Main St. She was arrested for violating a protection order, which states he cannot consume alcohol.

7:45 p.m.: A man traveled to the Cortez Police Department, at 608 N. Park St., to report a hit-and-run. After eating dinner, he returned to his 2015 white Ford F-350 to find a the driver’s side mirror was broken. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Saturday, Nov. 10

9:52 a.m.: Officers responded to a traffic accident at 126 S. Maple St. A man believed to be the driver told officers his car was stolen. The man was unable to stand still, according to the incident report, and the officer suspected the man of being under the influence of drugs. He was arrested for DUID, careless driving and leaving the scene.

5:20 p.m.: A woman was arrested for shoplifting $103.24 in goods at City Market, 508 E. Main St. She also had several warrants for her arrest. The stolen items include a bottle of water, a can of Red Bull, an insulated cup, two Cig-A-Light lighters, a pack of Bic lighters, two Koolaid drink mixes, two Kiss Lash Couture kits, two Kiss Lashes kites, a Kiss Nail kit and a FN Duo Lash kit.

11:34 p.m.: A security guard at City Market, at 508 E. Main St., flagged down a police patrol vehicle to assist with a man who would not leave the store. The man was intoxicated, which violated the terms of a protection order. He was arrested.

Sunday, Nov. 11

2:01 p.m.: A traffic accident occurred at 504 S. Broadway. A southbound vehicle attempted to turn left off of S. Broadway and collided with a northbound vehicle. The collision caused major damage to both vehicles.

7:37 p.m.: An intoxicated man causing a scene at City Market, at 508 E. Main St., was arrested for trespassing.

Monday, Nov. 12

12:09 a.m.: A man was arrested for DUI alcohol at Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St., after an officer observed him weaving and driving erratically.

5:05 a.m.: A man was arrested for criminal impersonation at Southwest Memorial Hospital, at 1311 N. Mildred Rd., for giving a false identity to a police officer.

7:55 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Southwest Memorial Hospital, at 1311 N. Mildred Rd.

11:23 a.m.: An employee at Second Time Fashion, at 1423 E. Main, spoke to an officer and reviewed surveillance footage regarding a woman who she suspects of shoplifting. The officer reported not having enough probable cause to charge the woman with shoplifting.

8:17 p.m.: A man was arrested for DUI alcohol at 100 E. First St. An officer observed a black Acura parked in the middle of the intersection of First St. and Beech St., blocking traffic.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

1:54 p.m.: A man was arrested for DUI alcohol, driving without a license, and failure to drive in a single lane on 20 S. Broadway. He was also charged with resisting arrest and was issued a municipal warrant.
