Thursday, Oct. 17

8:52 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 12500 block of County Road 38.7 near Mancos about an animal issue. Several cows had torn through aluminum gates to get to hay in a barn. A deputy listed the losses at $99 in hay, $20 in corn and $400 in property damage.

Sunday, Oct. 20

11:48 a.m. An officer was called to the 28200 block of U.S. Highway 160 about a verbal disturbance. The deputy could not determine whether anything the reporting property said was accurate and no crime appeared to have occurred during an argument among three people.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

10:14 a.m. A deputy issued a summons to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., for failing to register as a sex offender.

1:49 p.m. A deputy took a report about a dispute of ownership of a mobile home from a man who came to the Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:06 p.m. A deputy witnessed an pickup in Central Avenue in Dolores being driven by a woman he knew had a revoked driver’s license. The vehicle was stopped in the 100 block of South 11th Street. The woman was issued a summons for driving with a revoked license.

5:41 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 15000 block of County Road 35 near Mancos about a reported assault. The deputy sought an arrest warrant for a man on suspicion of menacing, false imprisonment and third-degree assault after hearing about abusive encounters between a woman and a man who were housemates.

5:56 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a male inmate at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Oct. 24

12:03 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Road N.6 Loop about a report of a theft. A man reported a missing pressure washer.

2:16 p.m. A deputy issued an active warrant to a man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Friday, Oct 25

8:18 a.m. A deputy in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 160 near Towaoc pulled over a gold sedan that appeared to be speeding. The driver was issued a summons for driving with a revoked driver’s license and speeding in a construction zone.

3:23 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Oct. 26

12:42 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the Maverik convenience store, 455 State St., about a reported assault. A woman reported that she had been beaten by a man with whom she had accepted a ride. The man had claimed she stole his cigarettes. The deputy filed a report, but the suspect could not be located.

Sunday, Oct. 27

1 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 24100 block of County Road L near Cortez about an unwanted person. The deputy took a report about two brothers who were involved in a fight at a Halloween party. The deputy issued one of the brothers a summons for third-degree assault.

Monday, Oct. 28

8:45 p.m. A deputy issued an active warrant to a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
