The Cortez Public Library would like to thank the following people and organizations who helped make our annual tree giving event such a success. Every December the children of Storytime work on creating ornaments for their service project to hang on Christmas trees that are distributed by the staff of the Tree House Early Learning Center of the Pinon Project. The library was able to give out seven trees this year to families who would otherwise not have had them. In addition to the trees, ornaments and lights there were stockings, wreaths, wrapping paper and other decorations for each family. Thanks for your generosity Brandy Henderson and the Tree House staff, Crystal Hunt of the Second Chance Thrift Store in Dolores, Jeff Hunt, Melissa Yoakum, Barbara Looff, Addie Dodson, Susie Kimble, Debra Dodson Randall and the Dodson family, and, of course, the children of Storytime. You helped make several families’ holidays brighter.
