Workshop examines mental health at work

Three sessions will run from Jan. 16-31

A three-part workshop, Mental Wealth in the Workplace, will be presented by the Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center in January at the Durango Public Library.

The workshop will focus on the importance of investing in the health and wellness of a business’ employees. Healthy employees take fewer sick days and stay employed longer – reducing turnover. Companies that invest in holistic well-being efforts have 30 percent lower costs because of lower turnover, according to the development center.

Bronwyn Radcliffe of Insight Coaching will teach steps to create a healthy workplace that offers support, fosters compassion and establishes healthful work habits.

All sessions will be held at the Durango Public Library, Program Room 1, and are free. Registration is required, and attendees can resister for each session individually.
