When COVID-19 put so many people out of of work, the options changed. People didn’t leave their respective livelihoods by choice, the work ended. They were laid off and had to choose a different path.
I think their choices of paths are working for them. So, people aren’t flocking back to jobs that pay less than living wages and have no benefits. It’s not OK for America to live on the backs of people who have struggled for generations to make their respective “American dream” happen. And it hasn’t happened.
The chickens have come home to roost. It’s not the fault of Joe Biden or the Democrats. It’s not the fault of Donald Trump (even though I would tag him for his totally ignorant response to the virus). It’s the beginning of an understanding of how terribly destructive this pandemic has been and remains to be.
