Locations include Cortez, Dove Creek, Mancos, Durango, Bayfield, Ignacio, Blanding, Monticello and Canyonlands National Park. Northwest winds are expected to reach 35 to 45 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects,” the weather service said. “Tree limbs could be blown down. Travel may be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.”

The weather service also forecasts a 30 percent chance of snow, decreasing to 20 percent overnight.

The high temperature on Wednesday is expected to reach 38 degrees, and the overnight low, about 15 degrees. Sunny skies are expected Thursday through Tuesday, with highs in the low 40s and lows around 20.
