Right before Christmas, my husband, Chris, who is 88, had an anxiety episode related to his dementia. When I called for help, the Sheriff’s Office sent deputy Alan Phelps and (his elf) Thomas Frost to assist me. I am 82. They were able to calm my husband down, and then they asked where our Christmas tree was. I told them I hadn’t been able to get one yet, and they suggested that a Christmas tree might help make my husband happier.
The next day, Phelps and Frost returned to our house with a Christmas tree, which they set up and decorated, along with a box of food. I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart, and to share with our community my sincere appreciation for their kindness.
