The recent shooting is no less than horrific. What is missing is the cause.
The manner is gunshot wound. What we need to know – but probably will not find out – is what, if any, psychotropic drug, was in the shooter’s system. Psychotropic drugs can cause suicidal and homicidal ideation. A toxicology test for psychotropics would offer a possible underlying reason why this tragedy, as well as other similar ones, have occurred.
Let’s push to get the truth, which we New Mexicans deserve.
