Vote to extend DA’s term for the children

I am currently serving as a board member for the Four Corners Child Advocacy Center. I support measure 7A, which will make the term limits for our district attorney equal to other elected officials in Montezuma County. Measure 7A would extend the district attorney’s position from two terms to three consecutive terms in office.

We as a community need to protect our children at all costs from sexual predators, domestic violence and child neglect. Our director, Rose Jergens, has an incredible working relationship with the multi disciplinary team in our community, which consists of the district attorney’s office, law enforcement, social services, a medical provider, Axis, and Southwest Memorial Hospital.

Our district attorney is a strong advocate for our children in this community. He aims at protecting our children first! He protects our children’s interests through the horrendous cases that come before him weekly in this small community. We need continuity between the DA’s office and the CAC in order to keep moving ahead. He is a dedicated professional and truly supports the CAC. Please vote YES on 7A.
