State Rep. Barbara McLachlan has been promoting her support for farmers and ranchers. However, her voting record paints a different picture. In 2021, she voted for SB21-087 (Agricultural Worker’s Rights), which has caused significant financial harm to farmers and ranchers. Over half of the agriculture bills she voted in favor of will hurt the agriculture community. Supporting agriculture is key to keeping food prices down! Why would McLachlan vote against agriculture?
Additionally, the local GOP legislative committee reached out to McLachlan many times on legislation (including agriculture) and she failed to respond. Most other legislators responded to the committee even if they didn’t agree with their position.
Constituents expect elected officials to listen and respond to their questions. McLachlan gets a bad grade on this.
We deserve better! Say no to McLachlan this November. On the other hand, Shelli Shaw has been working hard to understand what issues are important to you. She has done more outreach than perhaps any previous House District 59 candidate. Please consider voting for Shaw. She will listen and respond to all constituents.
