‘Vote pro-woman, pro-life, Shelli Shaw’

Many within our community are unaware of HB-1279, the Reproductive Health Care Act, which Barbara McLachlan co-sponsored earlier this year and Gov. Jared Polis signed into law. This law allows for the termination of pregnancy for the “full 40 weeks until crowning.”

The modern pro-choice movement is desperate to protect the image of abortion as positive and pro-woman. The Feminists for Life movement argue that women deserve better than abortion. The American Cancer Society site in its case-controlled studies sees an increase in breast cancer risk for women after abortion. Dr. David Prentice, vice president and research director of the Charlotte Lozier Institute, said: “Unborn babies feel pain as early as 12 weeks. The science has clearly shown that unborn children can perceive pain in the womb, but this is a significant admission by doctors on both sides of the abortion debate, recognizing that even early in human development, the unborn can feel pain. And as the authors note, ‘the mere experience of pain ... is morally significant.’ Science again points to the humanity of the unborn.”

Also, the National Institutes of Health states, “abortion is consistently associated with elevated rates of mental illness compared to women without a history of abortion.”

The science points to a cruelty inherent in the abortion industry for the woman and her unborn child. Rebecca Kiessling, an attorney who was conceived through sexual assault asks, “Did I deserve the death penalty?”

This November, vote pro-woman and pro-life. Vote for Shelli Shaw.
