I am writing to express my support for Ellen Angeles for the CD3 seat on the State Board of Education.
Ellen brings extensive experience in public education, having worked with students at Colorado Mountain College, Lake County Schools and as a teacher in Montrose for more than 18 years. She has taught both educators and students.
Her opponent wants book bans and content ratings of books in our schools. Her opponent backs Proposition 80 that could redirect funds from public schools to private institutions. Ellen is dedicated to preserving a strong public school system. Securing full funding and ensuring fair compensation for qualified teachers are real issues that impact our students. Ellen believes it is these substantive issues that directly reflect the needs of communities.
