Voices were heard at rally and march

Some 225 area citizens turned out on April 29 to rally and march in solidarity with the nationwide People’s Climate Mobilization. Thank you to everyone for your time making signs, rallying and marching.

The giant puppet of Mother Earth was a wonderful surprise by several Cortez ladies who worked many hours to create it.

All of you indeed made your voices heard about the urgent need for climate change solutions. Montezuma Alliance For Unity also sends our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer, every speaker, the organizations who set up information tables and to the following donors of services, materials, supplies, food and drink and prizes: Earthworks, Great Old Broads For Wilderness, Montezuma County Democrats, Montezuma County Democratic Women, Mancos Blues Ensemble, Kiva Montessori Upper Elementary School, The Lindells, Mesa Elementary School’s first grade class, Once Upon A Sandwich, The Farm, Osprey Packs, Inc. and SunSpirit Retreat. Thanks also to the key rally sponsor, Resource and Environment Advocacy and Protection group of Southwest Colorado.
