The League of Women Voters of Colorado is hosting a virtual candidate forum for Colorado’s Third Congressional District later in September.

The online forum, which is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, will feature U.S. House of Representatives candidates running for the CD3 seat in the November general election. The race includes Democrat Adam Frisch and Republican Jeff Hurd.

Other lesser known candidates include Libertarian James Wiley, Unity Party candidates Gary Swing and Adam Withrow, and Independent candidate Frank Hernandez, according to Ballotpedia.

The forum is an opportunity for people to learn more about candidates’ stances on issues affecting CD3 residents, according to a news release from LWVLPC.

The League of Women Voters of La Plata County is inviting residents to submit questions before the candidate forum via email at lwvlaplata@gmail.com, the release says.

Preregistration is not required, although people looking to preregister can do so on the LWVLPC’s website through its events calendar.

Ballots will be mailed to registered voters the week of Oct. 11, according to LWVLPC. They are due at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorders Office by 7 p.m. on Nov. 5.
