USDA Farm Service Agency offers disaster assistance programs

USDA Farm Service Agency has announced disaster programs available in Montezuma County, including Coronavirus Food Assistance Program. Cattle, sheep, pigs, wool and certain crops are eligible for the program.

There are also drought programs available for livestock producers under the Livestock Forage Program, Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-raised Fish Program and a drought program available for farmers from 2018 and 2019 drought losses under the Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity Program-Plus.

The deadline for CFAP is Aug. 28.
