I never cease to be amazed at the pass that Donald Trump gets in the mainstream media despite the consistently outrageous things he says, but this one really takes the cake. Michael Tomasky writing in the New Republic, quotes Trump speaking to the Moms for Liberty conference stating this poison: “The transgender thing is incredible. Think about it, your kid goes to school and comes home a few days later with an operation. The school decides what’s going to happen with your child, and many of these children, 15 years later, say, ‘What the hell happened? Who did this to me?’” “A presidential candidate,” Tomasky goes on to say (and I actually heard Trump say this as well), “accusing schools all over the country ... Performing operations on children without letting parents know.”
If Vice President Kamala Harris had made such a ridiculously false statement, it would be all over the front pages of the main media outlets, probably in all caps. But Trump gets a pass time and time again and is not called out. Why not? Are we going to, once again, have this person in the White House, this person who lies and lies and lies and never seems to be held accountable like everyone else? Wake up, America!
