Town Hall proposes to limit angled parking

To allow more room for road maintenance and snow removal, the town of Dolores is proposing an ordinance to have residents park vehicles parallel rather than angled in almost all neighborhoods.

According to the ordinance, angled parking will only be authorized at the following downtown locations.

On Fourth Street, both sides, between Central Avenue and Railroad Avenue (Colo. 145)

On Central Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets, south side only.

On Fifth Street between Central Avenue and Railroad Avenue on both sides.

And on Sixth Street between Central Avenue and Railroad Avenue, on both sides.

Angled parking would not be authorized anywhere else in town.

The proposal passed the first reading Monday, and is set for a second reading and public hearing on Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m.
