Town Board to meet tonight

Board to discuss, hazardous trees, crossing at Hwy. 160

The Town of Mancos Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. Board members are expected to discuss the economic development brochure first. Board members will also discuss a proclamation for National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

Board members are also expected to approve an ordinance that will issue the Town's Water Revenue Bonds in the Aggregate Principal amount of $491,000, to pay the costs of water facility upgrades.

Board members are also expected to discuss the removal of potentially hazardous trees. The town's Tree Board, an advisory body that meets monthly, conducted a townwide survey that identified several hazardous trees that are in need of removal or heavy pruning. Four property owners are interested in participating in the 50/50 cost-share program.

Board members are also expected to discuss a $93,459 grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation, which will help make crossing U.S. 160 safer.
