There’s a way to make all votes count

Have you noticed that the candidates for president are every day in one of five states – Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, Ohio or Wisconsin? Journalists treat this as routine. Sadly, they are right, since this is the way the Electoral College works. Those of us in the 45 non-swing states are irrelevant to the outcome because it is only necessary to win a majority of the votes in some states to garner all of the electoral votes. In Colorado, your vote is either taken for granted (blue) or irrelevant (red).

The goal of the National Popular Vote Compact is to change that, to eliminate swing states and make the votes of every citizen matter.
