The Bridge Emergency Shelter announced Friday that it was renewed as an Enterprise Zone Contribution Project by the State Economic Development Commission in December.
The renewal means those who donate $200 or more to the organization can claim a 25% state tax credit and a 12.5% state tax credit on in-kind donations. This credit is in addition to the federal tax deduction for contributing to any 501 (c)(3) nonprofit.
The Bridge provides seasonal shelter, a day labor program and transitional living apartments. The Bridge is the only shelter in the five county region of Southwest Colorado that serves those under the influence of substances.
