The Southwest Memorial Hospital Foundation is accepting applicants for its 2014 scholarships. They are $2,000 each.
Applicants must have chosen health care as a career, finished prerequisites for the fall year by June 1, 2014, maintained “satisfactory progress” at school, and be a resident of Montezuma or Dolores counties.
Write a letter describing career plans, education, work, and life experience, provide three letters of reference, submit verification of grades, and be available for an interview. Applications are available at the front desk at Southwest Memorial Hospital and at high school guidance offices. They can be downloaded from swhealth.org and must be postmarked by March 31.
