The Mancos Marshal's Office is looking for suspects in two break-ins at the Mancos Liquor Store.
On Monday, the store still had boarded-up windows.
The first break-in occurred on Dec. 22 at 12:40 a.m. Marshal Tom Cox was called to the liquor store, located in the 100 block of Frontage Road, after owner Ryan McKike noticed a broken window.
"A piece of asphalt was thrown through the window," Cox said.
Inside, Cox found a partial footprint, and when the security videos were inspected, they found their suspect.
"We saw the rock fly through the window, and a subject wearing a dark-colored hoodie, blue jeans and tennis shoes climbed through the hole. He or she also had on sunglasses and a bandanna," Cox said.
It took 35 seconds for the suspected to climb through the hole and grab three bottles of liquor.
The second burglary occurred on Dec. 28 at 12:30 a.m. This time, a chunk of asphalt was thrown through the store's front window, and security videos showed two suspects.
"Both of the individuals ran to the shelves and took two or three bottles of hard liquor," Cox said.
No arrests have been made in the case, which is under investigation.
Cox said the New Year's holiday was very quiet.
He also said that the Marshal's Office is piloting new lapel video cameras, that could be turned on when the marshal or deputy marshal's felt the need to do so.
The cameras look a lot like a small walkie-talkie.
And to update, no charges have been filed yet in the crash that left four parked cars near the Mancos Skate Park wrecked when a woman's car left the highway.
