The Sunflower Troupe has selected “The Odd Couple (Female Version)” by Neil Simon for its spring play, according to ta news release from the troupe.
The call includes non-acting support and technical roles.
“Not everyone who has the ‘theater bug’ is comfortable onstage. Volunteering to assist the troupe with some of these behind-the-scenes roles is a wonderful way to enjoy and contribute to the troupe’s energy,” said Hattie Miller, who is directing the play. “We really need to fill these positions as much as we need actors on the stage.”
Auditions are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15, at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 17 at noon. Both auditions take place at the Sunflower Theatre, 8 E. Main St., Cortez.
The play calls for two females to play late 30s to mid-40s, four females to play early 30s to early 50s, and two males to play mid-30s to late 40s. Other positions include stage manager, set design assistant, props manager, costume assistant, and tech assistant.
Rehearsals begin the last week of February, and the show runs two weekends in May. For more info, email thehattiechannel@gmail.com.
