Farmington Public Library hosts Native American storyteller

Farmington Public Library continues its Storyteller Series with a presentation from professional storyteller Eldrena Duoma at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the library, 2101 Farmington Ave.

Native American storyteller Eldrena “Blue Corn” Douma grew up among the Pueblo tribes of the Laguna, Tewa and Hopi. Her storytelling is influenced by her family, particularly her paternal grandmother and father, and she draws on their teachings in her storytelling.

Duoma has been featured in storytelling festivals across the country since 1992. In 2014, she was a recipient of Tejas Storytelling Association’s prestigious John Henry Faulk Award.
