State should audit road spending

I read that the state is wanting to raise gas tax on fuel. We have a road and bridge tax on vehicle registration. How about taxing people that don’t pay any road or fuel taxes, like those with electric cars or bicycles. These people are freeloading on the backs of people that have to pay extra tax for them. They should have to pay their own way. Look at any new or rebuilt road: It has bicycle lane. The state should audit CDOT to see where all this money has been spent or wasted and make departments account for every penny with receipts.
