State senator Mike Foote coming to Mancos

State Sen. Mike Foote will speak about the National Popular Vote initiative at the Mancos Public Library on Dec. 5.

State Sen. Mike Foote, D-Boulder, is coming to Mancos in a few weeks to talk about National Popular Vote, a movement to circumvent the Electoral College in the presidential election.

Foote represents the 17th district in eastern Boulder County in the Colorado General Assembly. He is part of a coalition group supporting the National Popular Vote.

The event is hosted by the League of Women Voters, and will take place at the group’s monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, at the Mancos Public Library. The league’s meetings are open to the public.
