The staff and Board of Directors of Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance send out a huge “Thank you!” to all the community members, members of SCCA, volunteers and staff of Bureau of Land Management – Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum who attended the preview opening of “Capturing the Canyons.”
We want to acknowledge artist-in-residence Lanny Wagner for contributing his photography and expertise to this special exhibit and making this event memorable. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the business and individuals who donated items to the silent auction to help make this event a successful fundraiser, including Alpacka Raft, Aramark, Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, Dolores Outfitters, Dunton, GST Liquors, Kokopelli Bike and Board, Love Sprouts, Notah Dineh, Purgatory, Ryan Custom Products, Sandia Resorts, Strater Hotel, Time Traveler Maps and many others. For a complete acknowledgment of our event supporters please visit our website at www.swcocanyons.org.
Proceeds from the event benefit the education programs offered to local youths at the museum and visitor center and support the future artist-in-residence. The “Capturing the Canyons” special exhibit is now open to the public with paid admission during regular museum and visitor center operating hours Monday–Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit will remain on display through January 2021.
We look forward to welcoming visitors to the museum to see this magnificent exhibit. Thank you from Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance, the grassroots friends and partner organization of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
