San Juan Mountains Association and San Juan National Forest will host a Public Lands Day event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 18 at the Cherry Creek lower parking area. High-clearance vehicles are suggested to access the parking area. Tools and trash bags will be provided.
Volunteers are asked to bring day packs with water and snacks. Dress for safety and wear long pants, sturdy shoes and bring gloves. No pets allowed. SJMA will provide a light lunch for the volunteers.
