9:26 p.m.: A woman reported an argument with her husband that resulted in a broken bowl at a home in the 16000 block of County Road 28.3.

Thursday, July 14

2 p.m.: A man was served a no-trespass notice at Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Club, in the 30000 block of U.S. Highway 160, after he reportedly broke club rules.

Friday, July 15

7:20 a.m.: A man shot and killed two pit bulls that charged him at his home in the 6200 block of County Road 38 in Mancos. The dogs’ owner retrieved their bodies, and the deputy warned him about keeping dangerous dogs.

Saturday, July 16

2:15 p.m.: A driver reported that a flying beer bottle damaged her car’s roof on U.S. Highway 160. She suspected a passing black SUV, but did not record a license number.

Tuesday, July 19

1:06 p.m.: A bicyclist reported that he had been bitten by a loose dog in the vicinity of the 12400 block of County Road 22. The deputy was unable to contact the man who was thought to be the dog’s owner.

4:45 p.m.: A man reported that his continuous positive airway pressure machine had been stolen from the lobby of Ute Mountain Casino.

Wednesday, July 20

12:06 a.m.: A man crashed a vehicle bearing Idaho license plates into a building at 400 Sunset Blvd. in Towaoc, and according to a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer, was treated at Southwest Memorial Hospital. Alcohol use was suspected in the crash.

11:55 a.m.: A female driver was pulled over for driving 73 mph in a 65 mph zone in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 160 and arrested on an active warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service.

3:03 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at the Montezuma County Courthouse, in the 600 block of Mildred Road.

2:35 p.m.: A woman requested a no-trespass order barring her sister in-law and her dogs from her property, in the 21400 block of County Road BB. The woman’s brother and sister in-law had been staying at her house after a protection order prohibited them from staying at their own house.

6:23 p.m.: A woman requested that a deputy stand by as she gave her husband a pair of shoes at a residence in the 18500 block of Colorado Highway 145.

1 p.m.: A man reported that he had lost a Ruger .357 Magnum while riding horseback in an area west of Transfer Park near Mancos.

Thursday, July 21

9:12 p.m.: A woman accused her neighbor of trying to run over her with an ATV at a ditch near County Roads H and 41 in Mancos. A deputy discovered that the two parties had conflicting information, and without other witnesses, did not pursue charges against either.

6:58 a.m.: A man was arrested on six active warrants, including one felony, in the 20700 block of County Road W.

Friday, July 22

12:48 a.m.: A report of a disturbance at an apartment in the 300 block of N. 15th St. in Dolores led to the arrest of a man on suspicion of violating bond conditions (two counts), violating a restraining order, unlawful use of a controlled substance (amphetamines, meth and THC), and obstructing an officer. He was also served with a warrant for violating bond conditions in an attempted-murder case in Durango. A woman was arrested on suspicion of criminal personation, violating a restraining order and resisting arrest.

6 p.m.: A ranch caretaker in the 10900 block of County Road 23 reported that a sheep valued at $350 had been shot dead. The deputy questioned the owner and neighbors but didn’t find evidence or leads.
