2:00 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and driving a vehicle with a revoked license after he allegedly blocked a gate, keeping two people from leaving a driveway in the 10200 block of County Road G.
3:30 p.m.: A man was arrested on two Mesa County warrants at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.
Wednesday, June 8
2:02 p.m.: A man reported that his trailer, which had a non-working taillight, had been stolen from the sale barn in the 12100 block of U.S. 491. After Cortez Police dispatch noted that a male driver with New Mexico license plates had been stopped about 30 minutes earlier in the 2000 block of U.S. 160 because of a nonworking taillight, a deputy planned to seek a warrant for his arrest. The trailer was valued at $8,000.
5:23 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at a residence in the 24020 block of County Road M.
Thursday, June 9
5:09 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 11000 block of County Road G for driving with a revoked license, and her son was arrested on four active warrants and for violating an order against drinking alcohol.
6:51 p.m.: A man reported a hit-and-run involving his mother’s car, which he had parked at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds, 30100 U.S. 160.
Friday, June 10
6:09 p.m.: Drivers of two vehicles at a gas station in the 100 block of U.S. 160 filled out witness forms and were given copies of a property sheet after one driver backed his pickup truck into the rear of the second driver’s car, causing minor damage.
8:41 p.m.: An arrest warrant was sought for a man suspected of leaving the scene of an accident in the 14300 block of County Road 25. The man allegedly was involved in a crash that left an SUV belonging to his ex-girlfriend’s father on its side in a driveway before he left in his ex-girlfriend’s car and with her cellphone. The deputy also sought an arrest warrant because the man was believed to be heading for Texas.
Saturday, June 11
7:30 p.m.: A man was cited for letting a dog run at large in the 34600 block of Colorado Highway 184.
10:13 p.m.: The sheriff reported that a planter on the north side of the Dolores General Store, 300 Central Ave., was lying on the sidewalk, but he did not observe any damage.
8:36 p.m.: A driver hit a deer in the 1000 block of U.S. 160, resulting in substantial body damage to her pickup, which also leaked radiator fluid. A deputy shot and killed the deer, firefighters cleaned up the leaking fluid, and the Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.
10:52 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence after a confrontation with a woman in the 17200 block of County Road 25.
Sunday, June 12
9:55 a.m.: A woman was taken to the hospital after crashing her southbound motorcycle while attempting to turn right off the 1100 block of N. Railroad Ave., in Dolores.
2:37 p.m. A woman was arrested on seven active warrants after she attempted to hide in bushes at a residence in the 29700 block of County Road T.
Monday, June 13
2:05 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant at the bonding window of the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.
4:40 p.m.: A woman was cited for unsafe backing after her car backed into a car parked at Dolores High School, at 14th St. and Railroad Ave., about 11 a.m. The driver of the parked car was standing outside her car during the impact, which knocked her to the ground, injuring her wrist.
