Tuesday, Aug. 30

4:31 p.m.: A man was pulled from under an ATV after it rolled over in a field in the 37700 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Wednesday, Aug. 31

6:40 a.m.: A broken pickup truck window was reported in the 13500 block of County Road 23.

5:07 p.m.: Two drivers completed accident reports after a car backed into another in the 400 block of Railroad Ave in Dolores.

10:31 a.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County jail.

12:22 p.m.: A man who was wanted on a warrant was spotted at Quik Cash, in the 600 block of E. Main St., and a foot chase ensued. He was arrested in the parking lot and searched, then he was arrested on the warrant, obstructing government operations, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of possession with intent to distribute drugs including 1 gram of black tar heroin, 5 grams of meth, 16 Hydrocodone pills and 25 morphine pills.

Thursday, Sept. 1

2:23 p.m.: A man was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail.

5:50 p.m.: A woman reported the theft of firewood after witnessing two men in straw cowboy hats fill up half their pickup truck with wood from her residence in the 13500 block of U.S. Highway 491.

Friday, Sept. 2

9:53 a.m.: A man who was wanted on a warrant ran after being spotted at Beech and Main streets and was caught in the soccer fields at Ash and First streets. After being searched, he was arrested for obstructing government operations and on suspicion of possessing meth, a dangerous weapon and drug paraphernalia. Deputies who searched the soccer fields area reporting finding a handgun.

Saturday, Sept. 3

1:40 a.m.: A man was jailed after a deputy and Bureau of Indian Affairs officer tested a man suspected of DUI, at U.S. 160 and Mike Wash Road, near the Ute Mountain Casino.

5:55 p.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing meth and drug paraphernalia, criminal impersonation, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after she was seen fighting with another woman in a car parked in the 400 block of Railroad Ave. in Dolores.

Sunday, Sept. 4

6:34 p.m.: Two men were arrested after a foot chase in the 11500 block of Colorado Highway 145. One was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and possessing drug paraphernalia and three warrants including violations of sex-offender and drug laws. The second man was arrested on two warrants and possession of meth, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
