10:16 a.m. Catalytic converters and batteries were stolen from buses in the 34000 block of U.S. Highway 160. The suspect brought a catalytic converter to All Auto Parts–Fast Eddie’s in Cortez. The case is active.
1:53 p.m. A man allegedly harassed an employee and violated a protection order at Cox’s Corner Store, 18794 U.S. Highway 491.
11:06 a.m. A man was remanded at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., and taken to jail for resisting arrest, violating a protection order and obstructing a peace officer.
1:06 p.m. A man with multiple warrants was arrested and taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:11 p.m. A woman who was restrained from flying into the Cortez Municipal Airport on Airport Road flew in anyways and was accused of violating a protection order. Authorities said it is public transportation and charges were dropped.
6:30 p.m. A woman was cited with criminal mischief at Skyline Gas Station, 27963 Colorado Highway 184, after admitting to throwing a rock at a man’s car, causing damage. She allegedly threw a slipper at another man’s car, but did not admit to that.
11:57 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after authorities found him intoxicated in his car that he parked in the middle of Road M, in the 28000 block.
3:49 a.m. A woman allegedly tried to strangle her husband during a verbal argument in the 21000 block of Road V. No injuries were visible, and nobody was arrested.
7:10 p.m. Suspects were released from the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., after being mistaken for suspects of an armed robbery.
4:38 a.m. A man was arrested and cited with criminal mischief and harassment after allegedly stealing his father’s phone, keys and cash by force in the 24000 block of Road M.
12:01 a.m. There was a single-vehicle crash in the 21000 block of Road V.6. When authorities arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied. Later on, a “lethargic and tired” individual with back pain was reported as a suspicious person in the 19000 block of Road 21.4. They denied any involvement in the crash, even though his wife said she signed the truck over to him after they separated.
2:22 a.m. A woman was speeding in the 2200 block of E. Main St. in Cortez. She was given a verbal warning, but failed to provide proof of insurance and was cited for that.
10:09 a.m. A man was arrested for failure to appear in court and taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:47 p.m. Three individuals were arrested in the 900 block of Dry Creek Road in Towaoc. Sheriff’s deputies assisted BIA officers and the FBI with a warrant service.
1:54 p.m. A woman was arrested and cited with violating a protection order in the 100 block of U.S. Highway 160. She admitted to using marijuana.
10:20 a.m. An individual reported their Amazon packages were delivered to the wrong address, and authorities told them to consult Amazon and FedEx.
