11:35 a.m. A person was pulled over near the intersection of Colorado Highways 184 and 145 in Dolores after allegedly swerving over the middle line. He was not intoxicated, but was cited with driving without a valid license or insurance.
3:32 p.m. A man was cited with violating a protection order when he and a friend moved things from the victim’s brother’s house in the 16000 block of U.S. Highway 491. The victim asked him to, since she recently had back surgery. He was taken to jail.
2:12 a.m. A man was cited with domestic violence and criminal mischief after he and his girlfriend got in an argument in the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 184. The pair had been drinking before the argument, and when she went to get things from the closet, he started punching the closet door. Wood broke, and struck her above the left eye. She said the injury wasn’t intentional, but he was taken into custody.
10:04 a.m. A man said his neighbor punched him moments before his neighbor’s dog bit him in the 23000 block of Road 18 in Cortez. There were no marks on his face, but the dog did bite his leg. The neighbor said the victim often taunts his dog. The dog is in quarantine for 10 days.
1:10 p.m. A man was pulled over at Road 25 and U.S. Highway 491 after leaving Patron’s and driving the wrong way on North Broadway. He was cited with a DUI.
3:14 p.m. A driver pulled over for expired registration in the 27000 block of Colorado Highway 184 was cited with that, in addition to driving with a suspended license and having no proof of insurance.
10:36 a.m. A woman was arrested at the Montezuma Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., for a court remand.
11:17 a.m. A vehicle was pulled over in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of driving 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. He was cited for speeding.
11:30 a.m. An individual with a warrant was arrested at the Montezuma Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., and taken to jail for failure to appear.
1:40 p.m. A man driving in the 1300 block of Railroad Ave. in Dolores was pulled over on suspicion of reckless driving and cited with driving with a suspended license.
10:48 p.m. A woman was arrested and cited with a DUI and a protection order violation after swerving “all over the place” when entering the Maverick at 455 State St. in Cortez. She failed roadside tests and refused a blood or breath test. Earlier, she violated a protection order when she called the victim multiple times, yelling at him and “getting nasty.” He was the reporting party.
