9:44 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI, drove vehicle without a valid driver's license, speeding, failure to present financial responsibility, and reckless driving in the 33000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

4:57 p.m. A deputy took a report for an ongoing investigation involving trespassing in the 23800 block of Road 37, Dolores.

Thursday, Sept. 12

2:41 p.m. A deputy responding to a report of a fight in the 9500 block of Road 29.1 arrested a man on a warrant.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

2:36 p.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected assault in the 32500 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Thursday, Sept. 19

9:04 a.m. A deputy at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., took a report that states he received a notification that a man failed to register as a sex offender and that he would seek an arrest warrant.

2:47 p.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected protection order violation from a man in the 18300 block of Road 27, Dolores. The man states in the report a woman he is protected from commented “I miss this” on a YouTube video he made and that the woman’s behavior has been an ongoing issue and she keeps getting away with it. The deputy’s report states he did not have sufficient evidence to charge the woman.

Saturday, Sept. 21

2:19 p.m. A deputy took a report at Southwest Memorial Hospital from a man who accidentally shot himself in the hand with a Sig Sauer P365 9 mm handgun in the 26400 block of Road H.

Sunday, Sept. 22

7:46 p.m. A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle that had backed into a ditch in front of the Battle Rock Charter School, 11351 Road G. The officer stated in the report that the Colorado State Patol officer investigating the incident arrested a man on suspicion of DUI.

Monday, Sept. 23

11:33 a.m. A deputy took a report for an incident regarding alcohol in the possession of a student at the Cortez High School, 418 Sligo St.

1:29 p.m. A deputy took a report for a vehicle accident at 715 Railroad Ave, Dolores. The deputy stated in his report that a man received a note from a woman after his parked vehicle was struck by her red Subaru and the woman’s note stated that she wanted to handle the matter without reporting the accident to law enforcement. The deputy states he attempted to persuade the woman to meet him in person to discuss the incident to no avail. The report states the woman repeatedly refused to provide information regarding her insurance, registration and driver’s license and hung up on the deputy multiple times, stating she could not hear him, then she called Cortez dispatch stating she did not want to meet the deputy in person because of PTSD relating to law enforcement. The officer’s report states he would be seeking a warrant for her arrest on suspicion of failure to report the accident to law enforcement, obstructing a peace officer, duty upon striking unattended vehicle, failure to provide proof of financial responsibility, and expired plates.

2:04 p.m. A deputy cited a woman with failure to provide proof of insurance upon request at 405 E. Main St.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

2:24 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:48 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or controlled substances, second-degree criminal trespass, domestic violence and harassment at the Cozy Comfort RV Park, 1501 Central Ave., Dolores. The deputy’s report states as he arrived to the incident he witnessed the man attempting to forcefully enter the locked fifth-wheel camper residence of the reporting woman.

Thursday, Sept. 26

11:27 a.m. A deputy served a warrant to a man who was being transferred from another facility into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Sept. 27

12:34 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of violation of a custody-court order at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

1:53 p.m. A deputy took a report for an accident that he witnessed at 16 W. Main St.

2:06 p.m. A deputy took a report for a cold assault resulting from a domestic violence incident the reporting party stated happened in July in the 22900 block of Road G.5. The deputy’s report states there was not enough evidence to support the allegations.

6:22 p.m. A deputy cited a woman with first-degree criminal trespass at 11934 Road 39.2, Mancos.

Saturday, Sept. 28

8:51 a.m. A deputy took a report for the theft of a DJI mini Mavic Drone, a birth certificate, and a picture of the reporting party’s father in the 11000 block of Road 24.3.

9:02 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman with five warrants who called dispatch stating that she was on a property she wasn’t allowed to be on at 10092 Road 20.

Sunday, Sept. 29

11:31 p.m. A deputy took a report from a couple for suspicious activity involving bullet holes in a window on their residence in the 22600 block of Road 17.6, Yellow Jacket. The deputy states in the report “the bullet holes appeared to be two chips in the window with a small circle chip in the center, the bullet holes might have been caused by a BB gun with steel BBs. The couple stated in the report that their always supervised children know better not to shoot at houses.
