Tuesday, Aug. 20

5:24 p.m. A deputy took a report for harassment from a woman at 19888 Road U. 6, Lewis. The woman reported she received threatening text messages from her ex-boyfriend that made her fear for her life.

Thursday, Aug. 22

3:54 p.m. A deputy took a report for a burning vehicle and damages to a tractor from a man and woman in the 45000 block of U.S. Highway 160, Mancos.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

5:22 p.m. A deputy served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

8:44 a.m. A deputy took a report that states he would be seeking a warrant for a man who failed contact the Sheriff’s Office to register as a sex offender on his annual renewal date of July 30.

Thursday, Aug. 29

2:10 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and careless driving in the 1000 block of Railroad Ave, Dolores. The deputy’s report states he witnessed the careless driving and when he notified the man that the Sheriff’s Office received a report that he was all over the road, the man said, “No he didn’t see that” and he reportedly told the deputy, “I drank a beer for lunch, you’re allowed 25 ounces aren’t you?” The deputy reported when he asked the man to perform roadside maneuver tests the man also stated he was handicapped with two pins in his left leg, and needed to wear sunglasses so he doesn’t get disoriented. When asked to perform the alcohol breath analysis test, he stated to his dog, “Wish me luck.”

2:21 p.m. A deputy served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:44 p.m. A man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. was cited with harassment after a deputy reviewed video footage of him in an altercation with another inmate who refused to press charges for the incident.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

1:20 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of violating a protection order after his neighbor reported he walked in front of his residence twice getting within 100 yards of his home at 23610 Road F.5. The reporting party stated he was worried the man was carrying a weapon in his bag, and added that he just had a heart attack and stroke and couldn’t take the stress of his neighbor harassing and taunting him in front of his house. The suspect stated he walked to his brother’s house, which is directly in front of the reporting party’s house, to help him because his brother’s dog just died, and he stopped to catch his breath since he is on an oxygen tank, which is what he was carrying in his bag. The deputy’s report stated they did not book the man into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center because he had to be on constant oxygen and was taking medication for seizures, noting that the man was out of breath walking into the detention center.

5:43 p.m. A deputy served two warrants to a man who was transported into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

12:35 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

1:21 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman under a print minute order by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

8:57 p.m. A deputy cited a man with failure to provide insurance upon request and expired more than 60 days in the 24000 block of Road G.

Thursday, Sept. 5

3:38 p.m. A deputy served two warrants to a woman who was transported into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Sept. 6

10:01 a.m. A deputy arrested a man under suspicion of harassment after a report of an assault was made from the owner of a retirement home at 24760 Road G. The woman reported the man had been drinking alcohol and began yelling at other residents and when she attempted to calm the man down he struck her in the face and attempted to hit her with a cane.

Sunday, Sept. 8

12:24 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence at 501 Railroad Ave., Dolores.

Monday, Sept. 9

12:59 p.m. A deputy took a report of a found cellphone turned into the deputy at 420 Central Ave., Dolores.

3:06 p.m. A deputy arrested a man remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
