Sunday, Aug. 18

9:17 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of DUI in the 20000 block of Road G.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

10:12 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and cited with domestic violence, child abuse, and criminal mischief in the 30000 block of U.S. Highway 160. The deputy’s report stated the man reportedly punched out the window of his child’s mother’s car when an argument between them broke out and their 1-year-old child was in the vehicle.

Thursday, Aug. 22

3:33 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, drove vehicle without a valid drivers license, failure to present insurance upon request and failed to drive in the designated lane in the 21000 block of Road G.

3:27 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of violating a protection order at 12741 Road 22.

Friday, Aug. 23

12:18 p.m. A deputy cited a man with third-degree trespass at 19041 Road S, Lewis.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

8:19 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on three warrants at 6702 U.S. 160.

2:56 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI in the 30000 block of U.S. 160 after a REDDI was reported for a vehicle the caller reported was all over the road and swerving into oncoming traffic. The deputy’s report states the woman said she was addicted to opiates but started to drink after she quit the opioids. The report also stated the deputy witnessed while following the vehicle, the woman continued driving and traveling on the shoulder of the highway after he activated his lights, he also reported that he saw an almost empty container of liquor and multiple bottles of medication in the woman’s purse on the floorboard.

3:28 p.m. A deputy arrested a man remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

7:26 p.m. An officer took a report for the theft of a bicycle from a man in the 9400 block of Road 42, Mancos.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

3:37 p.m. A deputy served a warrant to a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Aug. 29

3:24 p.m. A deputy was given fireworks and ammunition confiscated from the past five years to be destroyed from a TSA representative at the Cortez Flying Service Inc., 22870 Road F.

Friday, Aug. 30

2:54 p.m. A deputy took a report from a FedEx employee for a dog bite at 23702 Road S, Dolores. The FedEx employee stated the dog rushed her, bit her leg and ripped her clothing but did not break her skin. Because of the company’s policy she was required to obtain a law enforcement report and that she declined pressing charges against the owner of the dog.

Saturday, Aug. 31

10:50 p.m. A deputy arrested a woman on suspicion of menacing, prohibited use of weapons, and domestic violence at 24945 Road F. The deputy’s report states the woman said she discharged her Sig Sauer P938 in an attempt to scare her ex-boyfriend. The woman stated in the report that her intimate relationship with the man reporting the incident, had a history of abuse. She said she was tired of the man destroying her property and that the man threw her phone in a water bucket, which triggered her to retrieve the gun from the safe and shoot it at the ground near them multiple times.

Sunday, Sept. 1

5:01 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment at 31065, Colorado Highway 184, Dolores. The deputy’s report states the reporting woman and the man are in an eight-year relationship, and she said he hit her with his crutches, causing bruising and scratches that she showed the officer. The woman’s mother corroborated her story and told the deputy that she heard the man yelling at her daughter, “saying that she was dead, he was going to kill her, and that she was a narc.” and that the man told her, “you better call her off or quit it,” and “he’s gonna find a gun and shoot her.” The man told the deputy, “all he was trying to do was get into the house, put his groceries away, and then spend time with the reporting party,” and “she just went all ballistic on me and locked me out of the house.” The officer’s report said the woman stated she did not want to fill out the domestic violence form.
