Tuesday, July 16

9:37 a.m. A deputy took a report for fraud at the Cortez Livestock Auction Sale Barn, 12129 U.S. Highway 491. The reporting party said she took three personal checks from a woman totaling $7990.00 for the payment of sheep, the deputy and reporting party attempted to call the number on the check to resolve the payment to no avail. The deputy’s report states he will try again to reach her before applying for an arrest warrant.

Wednesday, July 17

5:01 p.m. A deputy at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., took a report stating he received notification from the MCSO records department that stated there was a man who was past due on registering as a sex offender, and he will be seeking a warrant for the mans arrest.

Sunday, July 28

5:41 p.m. A deputy took a report of domestic violence from a man and the deputy states in his report that based on the evidence collected he would be seeking a warrant for the man’s wife on suspicion of domestic violence.

Saturday, Aug. 3

6:25 p.m. A deputy at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. took a report for a suspected restraining order violation that occurred using the Montezuma County Detention Center’s phone system by an inmate. The deputy blocked the two numbers from the phone system and stated in his report that he would seek an arrest warrant for charges of protection order violations.

Monday, Aug. 5

5:28 a.m. A deputy arrested a woman on two warrants during a reported unwanted person call at 6016 Road 24.5.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

9:07 p.m. A deputy cited a man who stated he did not call in for permission to burn with a fourth degree arson at 9755 Road AA, Pleasant View where he was burning carpet from remodeling his home and the wind picked up causing the fire to get out of his control.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

6:25 p.m. A deputy arrested a man turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

Thursday, Aug. 9

7:24 p.m. A deputy served two warrants to a woman being transferred from another facility into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Aug. 10

5:50 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion og attempted vehicular assault, third-degree assault, reckless driving and third-degree trespass in the 28000 block of Road P, Dolores.

Saturday, Aug. 11

4:07 a.m. A deputy cited a man with drove vehicle without a valid drivers license and financial responsibility in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Sunday, Aug. 12

12:13 p.m. A deputy took a reported domestic violence from a woman who stated her husband of 13 years kicked her in the leg, slapped her with an open hand across her face, and struck her on the top of the head in the 11020 block of Road 44, Mancos. The deputy stated he obtained an arrest warrant for third-degree assault, obstruction of telephone and domestic violence for the man who fled the couple’s home.

Monday, Aug. 12

8:58 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

9:25 a.m. A deputy took a report for found property at the Cortez Police Department, 865 N. Park St.

10:06 p.m. A deputy took a report for domestic violence in the 1400 block of Central Ave, Dolores.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

6:15 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant in the 6000 block of U.S. 160.
