6:24 p.m. A deputy at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., took a report for fraud after a man told him “his bank notified him that someone had cashed a check that had gone missing from his home in the amount of $7,000.
2:56 p.m. A deputy took a report for a vehicle break-in from a man in the 12000 block of Colorado Highway 145 who stated his Smith & Wesson .40 caliber MP40 pistol, a black and brown leather holster, multiple gift cards totaling $120, and a flat brown wallet containing the his identification and credit cards were taken. The deputy’s report states that the man’s wife said money she left in the vehicle was still there.
11:21 a.m. A deputy took an unfounded report for a domestic violence call at a residence in the 200 block of Railroad Avenue in Dolores.
1:09 p.m. A deputy took a report for a dog bite in the 41700 block of Colorado Highway 184, in Mancos.
1:48 p.m. A deputy took a report for a man turning himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The deputy stated in his report that the man’s family took him to the jail, and that the man was highly intoxicated and placed into custody for three warrants including resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, both characteristics the deputy encountered during the man’s placement into custody.
2:21 p.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected protection order violation in the 10200 block of Road 28.2. The deputy cited a woman with two counts of protection order violations and domestic violence after she messaged two friends of her ex-boyfriend on Facebook.
10:35 a.m. A deputy took a report for a woman who stated that she could not find money she kept in a manila folder in her home, she reported she thinks it went missing between June 13 and June 18 in the 30300 block of Road S.6 in Dolores.
6:31 p.m. A deputy took a report of vandalism from a woman who stated that a man driving a yellow school bus with black dots painted on it stopped and wrote on her vehicle while she was swimming at the Big Bend turnoff in the 27700 block of Colorado Highway 184 in Dolores.
5:50 a.m. A deputy took a report for a disturbance from a woman in the 291700 block of Road J.6. The woman reported a disagreement with a man whom she owed $300. The woman stated that the man stated he would break her jaw, to which she stated to him that he was not going to do anything to her. The woman stated the man became upset and smashed the rear window of her boyfriend’s truck. The deputy stated in his report that the window was shattered but still intact and he request a warrant for the suspect’s arrest.
12:03 p.m. A deputy took a report for theft in the 21700 block of Road S.
9:34 p.m. A deputy took a report for a tribal law enforcement agency assist in the 200 block of Chipeta Circle, Towaoc, where a couple reported separate accounts of a domestic dispute involving the disciplining of a child in their care. The reporting peace officers discussed the woman as possibly being the aggressor in the domestic incident, the couple agreed to separate for the night as the officers facilitated a civil standby.
1:26 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant issued for criminal mischief under $300 and a failure to comply domestic violence warrant in the 29100 block of Road J.6. The man was reportedly responsible for damaging a vehicle’s rear window on Aug. 1 and sending harassing text messages and calling to yell at the reporting party.
5:02 p.m. A deputy took a report for a structure fire where he and the battalion chief deduced the yurt fire was started by lightening striking a metal electrical conduit at 35301 U.S. Highway 160 in Mancos.
2:03 p.m. A deputy served three warrants to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
11 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on four warrants after responding to a reported trespassing incident in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160.
8:45 a.m. A deputy took a report for damaged property in the 42000 block of Road J.75, Mancos.
10:49 a.m. A deputy took a report for fraud from a man in the 24000 block of Road F.5. The man stated he was instructed by a caller claiming to be a representative in Washington, D.C., from the Office of the Inspector General to purchase and send the codes on the back of the Sephora gift cards totaling $2,000.
12 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
4:40 p.m. A deputy took a report of threats by phone from a man in the 17500 block of Road 26, Dolores.
