Saturday, Nov. 11

11:49 p.m. A man was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence at 25265 Road N., Cortez, after a woman’s sister reported she received a text from her asking her to call law enforcement for assistance.

Sunday, Nov. 12

8:24 p.m. A man was cited with obstructing a peace officer when the officer was responding to a car crash that was reported at 10000 Road G, Cortez.

Monday, Nov. 13

10:15 a.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected attempted burglary and trespassing at 28101 RD T. 5, Dolores. Surveillance video showed a suspect to be tampering with the door handle of the business and a bag was left by the suspect at the crime scene.

Tuesday, Nov. 21

3:38 p.m. A deputy took a report for damaged private property in the 25000 block of Road N, Cortez. The caretaker for a house reported cranberry juice spilled all over a white carpet and a television set being broken in.

Wednesday, Nov. 22

4:38 p.m. A deputy took a report from a woman who was bit by a neighbor’s dog. The dog was trying to attack her dog that she had on a leash at 23408 Road T, Dolores.

Monday, Nov. 27

3:46 a.m. A deputy assisted in an investigation involving a vehicle accident where a man fell asleep at the wheel at 28260 U.S. Highway 160.

1:32 p.m. A deputy took a report for a protection order violation at the 17000 block of road 27, Dolores.

5:20 p.m. A deputy remanded into custody a man with a warrant to be placed into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

6:42 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant at 110 N. 20th St., Dolores.

7:32 p.m. A couple was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence at 220 N. Harrison St., Cortez. While deputies investigated, the man stated that he closed the front door on the woman, which triggered the woman to shoved the door open into the wall, and that damaged the wall. The woman stated that the man took her phone and slammed it on the ground and broke it.

8:01 p.m. A man turned himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St. on a warrant.

11:34 p.m. A deputy arrested and served four warrants to a man who was at the bonding window of the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Nov. 30

9:38 a.m. A deputy remanded into custody and transported a man with a warrant from the Montezuma County Courthouse 865 N. Park St., to the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Dec. 1

2:21 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se, at the 4000 block of Hwy 160, Cortez when a report of an erratic driver with a broken back window ran through a red light was made to law enforcement.

7:30 p.m. A woman reported to authorities that the man she hitchhiked a ride from to pick up a friend at the jail was waiting for her and she no longer needed his services. When a deputy ran a name check on the man he was arrested for three outstanding warrants at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Sunday, Dec. 3

6:50 p.m. A manager at the Dollar General reported the theft of four propane tanks from the front of the store at 1009 Railroad Ave.
