6:49 a.m. A man in 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160 contacted his card company because the day before his card was declined. He found two charges totaling $275 that he did not make, and believes it was a woman who he lent his card to two days before.
1 p.m. A man flagged down an officer to report that his shed in the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 145 was broken into and tools were missing.
1 a.m. A man driving in the 17000 block of Road 25 swerved to miss a deer and crashed. The man called his father, and his father took him to the hospital. The man told an officer he had been drinking, and he was cited with DUI underage drinking.
2:37 p.m. A woman in the 13000 block of U.S. Highway 491 reported that a tenant wrote her a check from a closed bank account.
7 a.m. A man at the Baymont Hotel, 2279 Hawkins St., found his work truck had the passenger side window broken out and had things taken from it. The man believed the break-in occurred between 5:50 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
1:49 p.m. A man driving a camper hit the roof corner of Speedway gas station, 501 Railroad Ave., which tore off the camper awning and shattered a side window. The Speedway’s roof damage was estimated at $5,000.
4:28 p.m. A woman driving her car home from the 16000 block of Colorado Highway 145 noticed her car was making an odd sound, and and found her catalytic converter was missing. The woman had left the car on Colorado Highway 145 at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 when she ran out of gas.
8:23 a.m. A woman at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and violating a protection order. The man she was restrained from contacting had provided photos of the woman at his property in the 2400 block of E.5 and told an officer she had pressured him to drop charges in a domestic violence case. The man also told an officer the woman was in possession of two stolen snowmobiles, which were collected by an officer from the 6000 block of Road 24.
10:01 a.m. A man and woman driving in the 7000 block of Road 25 pulled over when the woman got sick. The man had opened an energy drink, which exploded, covering both occupants, and the man swerved, causing the woman to become sick. A person passing reported the man as “manhandling” the woman and an officer spoke with the couple. Both the man and woman confirmed there was no issue. The officer observed no injuries and noted the man and the inside of the vehicle were coated in a liquid.
11:42 a.m. A manager at Speedway in Dolores, 501 Railroad Ave., turned over a wallet that a man had left there the night before. The officer contacted the man and arranged to give the wallet back to the man at the Towaoc Travel Center, 1 E. Mike Wash Road, the next day.
12:50 p.m. A man in the 5600 block of Road 25 was arrested on four warrants.
2:10 p.m. A man at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant.
5:32 a.m. A man allegedly took three alcoholic drinks from the Speedway in Dolores, 501 Railroad Ave., and was arrested on a warrant. An officer recovered the drinks from the man in the parking lot and the store did not press charges.
12:05 p.m. A woman got into a physical fight in the back of a vehicle in the 1800 block of U.S. Highway 491. The woman grabbed another woman by the hair and punched her multiple times. The first woman was issued summons on suspicion of assault.
12:25 p.m. A man driving a truck and trailer with horses on Forest Service Road 526 hit a cow near the intersection of Road W and Road 31. The cow was injured, and the truck took damage on the passenger side. The horses seemed uninjured at the time of the report, and no charges were being pursued.
1:16 p.m. A man in the 25000 block of U.S. Highway 491 was arrested on a warrant.
1:43 p.m. A man in the 9000 block of Road 29 found a blue fanny pack in his mailbox and turned it over to an officer. The bag contained multiple Visa cards, a Utah driver’s license, a Social Security card, playing cards from several casinos and different types of drug paraphernalia.
2:41 p.m. A man in the 25000 block of U.S. Highway 491 in Pleasant View started a grass fire along the highway when he tried to burn pine needles. The man was issued summons on suspicion of violating a fire ban.
