Wednesday, Jan. 11

12:29 a.m., A report was made for a suspicious vehicle in the 24300 block of Road L. An officer found the vehicle in a parking lot with a woman in it who stated she was afraid to drive in the snow and was waiting for her father to pick her up. She was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

8:25 p.m., A woman in the 15200 block of Road 22 reported that 14 packages marked for delivery on Jan. 3 were missing when she went to grab them from her mailbox on Jan. 7. The packages value total in $215.38.

Thursday, Jan. 12

10:11 a.m., A man at the lobby of the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., reported his identity had been stolen. The man stated he received an email from someone claiming to be from PayPal and that his account had been compromised. The man called the number in the email and gave the person his personal information.

Tuesday Jan. 17

4:27 p.m., A man went to the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., to report potential fraud. He stated that his parents were sending money via Western Union money order and Green Dot money cards to a foreign account. The parents believed they were sending the money to man who works for the IRS. The son estimated more than $100,000 has been sent.

7:26 p.m., A report was made for people yelling in the 30100 block of Road H. An officer found a barefoot and apparently intoxicated woman sitting on the back of her car yelling. The officer gave her a ride up the driveway and left. At 8:53 p.m., a report claimed two people were yelling and fighting at the same location. The woman from the first report denied being hit. The man denied that he hit the woman. He was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts him from harassing or abusing the woman, and she was arrested on suspicion violating a protection order that restricts her from possessing or consuming alcohol.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

9:01 a.m., A woman at the bond window of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was arrested on a warrant.

6:07 p.m., A woman in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served warrant for failure to appear.

Saturday, Jan. 21

1:10 p.m., A woman at Dollar General, 23890 Road G, reportedly yelled and threatened employees before leaving and walking north on U.S. Highway 160. The woman was found by officers in the 7000 block of U.S. 160 and was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, Jan. 22

6:18 a.m., A man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., used another man in custody to write send a letter to a woman he was restricted from contacting. He was cited on suspicion of violating a no-contact protection order.

9:32 p.m., A man driving in the 9000 block of Road 27 was pulled over for driving 66 MPH in a 40 mph zone. The officer smelled alcohol from the vehicle and asked the man to perform roadside maneuvers. The man agreed and passed the maneuvers however was identified as having a failure to comply warrant. The man was arrest on the warrant and was issued summons on suspicious of speeding.
