Tuesday, Sept. 20

3:58 p.m., A woman backing her van out into the roadway in the 1500 block of Hillside Avenue was hit by another vehicle. She was given a summons for driving with a revoked license.

Sunday Oct. 2

12 p.m., A report was filled for two missing guns in the 17000 block of Road 27.8. The owner used a moving company several days before and believes it’s possible they went missing then.

Monday, Oct. 10

4:13 p.m., A man in the 15000 block of Road 24 filed a report stating his girlfriend had been kidnapped. He disclosed to the officer he had never met her and that he had provided money to her so she could move to Cortez. He received a text at the time she was supposed to arrive saying she had been kidnapped and to send ransom money, which he paid. After the officer checked with the airport verifying no one had arrived under the name of the supposed girlfriend and finding the photos of her to be of a model and actress this was believed to be a scam and that the woman was not real.

Wednesday, Oct. 12

2:26 p.m., An officer at the request of Colorado State Patrol found and returned a man to the scene of a car crash in the 2000 block of Road G.

Thursday, Oct. 13

8:10 p.m., An officer served two warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

10:14 a.m., An officer helped set up a civil standby for the exchange of some items between a man and a woman he was retrained from seeing after he tried to reach her by a third party.

Thursday, Oct. 20

9:10 a.m., A man turned himself to the Montezuma County Detention Center and was arrested for a warrant.

Sunday, Oct. 23

10:26 p.m., A woman in the 23000 block of County Road G was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and careless driving after running into another vehicle in a driveway.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

8:01 p.m., A man was issued summons on suspicion of speeding and driving with a revoked license in the 21000 block of Road W.
