Thursday, April 2

12:10 p.m. A mailbox was reportedly smashed near the 25000 block of Road T.

2:55 p.m. A man was arrested for domestic violence and menacing near the 28000 block of U.S. 160 after reportedly punching and shattering his wife’s windshield.

Friday, April 3

12:11 p.m. A deputy responded to a report of vandalism at the Cortez Cemetery. The glass on the door to the cemetery office had been broken.

Sunday, April 5

3:39 a.m. A man was arrested after being pulled over near mile marker 26 on U.S. 160 when it was discovered that he was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and hash oil. He was originally pulled over for having faulty tail lights.

Monday, April 6

1:13 p.m. A deputy responded to the Yellow Jacket Fire Station for a report of an abandoned vehicle, a yellow 72 International Tractor that belongs to the Pueblo Community College. After several attempts to have the college remove the vehicle, it remained at the fire station. The vehicle was released to a towing company.

1:19 p.m. A local liquor store reported that an employee was allegedly ringing up sales and pocketing money. The total theft amounted to about $1,400.

4:29 p.m. A deputy observed a semi-trailer exiting the Baker Sanitation parking lot and turn west onto U.S. 160. While doing so, the truck’s wheels went into the ditch and the trailer hit a mailbox. A property damage report was filled out, and the driver was issued a verbal warning for careless driving.

Tuesday, April 7

6:00 p.m. A woman reported that someone threw human excrement at her dog while she was away. The woman believed it was an ongoing dispute with a neighbor.

Wednesday, April 8

4:00 p.m. A woman reported that she had sold a car to a man for $500, who said he would make payments. The woman explained that she never got payments from the man and wanted her car back. A deputy arranged to have the car returned to the owner.

Thursday, April 9

12:30 p.m. A woman reported that her vehicle had been broken into near the 300 block of Central Avenue in Dolores. The woman reported that $1,940 in cash, two necklaces, two packs of Marlboro red label 100s two packs of Camel cigarettes and a bottle of prescribed medication were missing.

Friday, April 10

7:30 p.m. Deputies were contacted because three individuals were stranded at McPhee Reservoir after their pontoon boat broke down. One of the reporting parties tried to hike out but was stuck on the opposite side of the lake across from House Creek Campground. He said he would build a fire and was located by a deputy. The other two parties were rescued by boat. They all said they were OK, just cold.
