Monday, Jan. 3

9:39 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after she was pulled over for speeding in the 37000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Tuesday, Jan. 4

9:21 a.m. A woman reported that her wallet was stolen out of her purse from a Bible study room in the 26500 block of County Road M. There were no leads.

9:42 a.m. A deputy responded to reports of domestic violence in the 5300 block of U.S. Highway 160 where he found no substantial evidence of violence.

11:47 a.m. A woman was taken into custody on outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 965 N. Park St.

4:18 p.m. A woman reported that some antique drawers were stolen from her mother’s shed in the lower 100 block of Porter Way. There were no leads.

Thursday, Jan. 6

10:36 a.m. A woman was issued a summons for having an out-of-control dog after the dog reportedly bit a man on the leg in the 1500 block of Hillside Avenue.

Friday, Jan. 7

8:43 p.m. A woman was taken into custody and issued summons for drunken driving in the 13100 block of County Road 25.

10:53 p.m. A nurse reported that a man shot himself in the thigh while trying to disassemble his gun in the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 145. The man was OK.

Sunday, Jan. 9

12:22 p.m. A man was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for speeding in the 34000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Monday, Jan. 10

4:23 p.m. A woman was cited for driving without a valid license after a patrol lieutenant pulled her over in the 38000 block of U.S. Highway 160 for not displaying registration.

5:16 p.m. A shed reportedly caught on fire in the 22800 block of Road D.6. The landlord was attempting to access surveillance footage that captured the incident.

Tuesday, Jan. 11

8:04 a.m. A woman was taken into custody on outstanding warrants after she hit another woman in the head with a shovel and locked herself in her residence. On the way to the jail, the allegedly woman spit on a sergeant, made sexual comments and resisted arrest. She was put on a felony hold for second-degree assault.

10:01 a.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

1:10 p.m. An employee reported that a side door to the business she worked at was open when it should have been locked in the 100 block of North Fifth Street. There seemed to be nothing missing or out of place. There were no leads.

2:14 p.m. A man reported that his garage was broken into in the 11600 block of Road 27.3. There did not seem to be anything missing. There were no leads.

3:19 p.m. A deputy responded to reports of a restraining order violation in the 30000 block of Road S.6. The alleged violator was not on the scene and the deputy did not find substantial evidence to believe a crime had been committed.

Wednesday, Jan. 12

10:22 a.m. A man was taken into custody on outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

12:12 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

3:43 p.m. An inmate was issued a summons for menacing after he attacked a corrections officer with a mop at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Jan. 13

11:15 a.m. A woman reportedly throw her personal trash in a business dumpster in the 1000 block of Railroad Avenue. She was let off with a warning.

12:41 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:39 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Jan. 14

9:12 a.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:38 a.m. A deputy responded to reports of assault in the 1100 block of Railroad Avenue but determined the altercation was only verbal.

1:36 p.m. A man gave a deputy a bike he found laying in the street at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and 20th Street. Dispatch informed the deputy that the bike was not reported stolen.

6:55 p.m. A man was taken into custody for drunken driving after he reportedly pointed a gun at another driver in the 200 block of East Railroad Avenue.

Saturday, Jan. 15

6:08 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after her horses were found at large in the 32000 block of Colorado Highway 184.

Sunday, Jan. 16

3:26 p.m. A female inmate was issued a summons for third-degree assault after video surveillance showed her punch another inmate in the face several times at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Monday, Jan. 17

7:39 a.m. A woman reported that a man was harassing her and her husband via social media from the 14200 block of County Road 28. A deputy determined that the man’s actions were not criminal.

5:27 p.m. A woman was taken into custody for drunken driving after she reportedly crossed over a double yellow and almost struck a deputy’s vehicle in the 16000 block of Road G.

12:31 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
